Job summary

The Oyster Partnership is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer for a Lancashire Local Authority to join the Engineering Team on an initial six‑month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension based on project demands and performance.

You will deliver highways and civil engineering schemes, managing them from design and feasibility through to construction, with site inspections and contractor liaison.

Hybrid working is available, with a diverse workload and a pipeline of upcoming schemes.

A Local Authority in Lancashire is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join its Engineering Team on an initial 6 month contract. This opportunity has arisen due to a long‑term absence, with a strong likelihood of extension based on ongoing project demands.

The role is offering exposure to a broad portfolio of civil engineering projects rather than a narrow specialist focus.

The Role

You will play a key role in the delivery of a range of engineering schemes across the borough, managing projects through various stages from design and feasibility through to construction and completion.

The successful candidate will be involved in project management, design coordination, site inspections, contractor liaison, and the successful delivery of infrastructure improvements.
