Kier Group in Salford is seeking a Senior Highways Design Engineer to join the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework. You will support the highways design team, deliver designs, drawings, reports and supporting documentation, and help develop junior colleagues while maintaining strong client relationships.

You will produce preliminary and detailed designs, conduct site investigations, and provide innovative engineering solutions while upholding design procedures and quality standards.

• Oversee and mentor junior staff and maintain good client relations.

We're looking for a Senior Highways Design Engineer to joinour National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework team based in Salford within the highways sector. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.

Location: Salford

Hours: 40 - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Highways Design Engineer, you\'ll be working within thehighways design team, supporting them in delivering highways designs, drawings, reports and supporting documentation. This is an exciting opportunity to join our collaborative highways design team, where you\'ll play a key role in delivering innovative engineering solutions for National Highways projects. You\'ll contribute to the production of high-quality designs, drawings, and technical documentation while supporting the development of junior colleagues and maintaining strong client relationships. Your day to day will include:

• Preparing preliminary and detailed designs in accordance with approved design procedures for local and national authorities
• Producing design drawings and technical documentation that satisfy client\'s technical specifications
• Conducting on site investigations and analysing data including maps, reports, tests and drawings
• Providing innovative solutions to engineering problems and contributing towards technical excellence across the team
• Overseeing and mentoring junior staff while maintaining good relations with clients and attending meetings as necessary
