Kier Design is seeking a Senior Highways & Drainage Engineer to join our team across multiple locations in the UK, with agile working and up to 1–2 days from home. Based in Cardiff/Birmingham/Bristol or other cities, you will lead design delivery from concept through to delivery while maintaining safety and constructability.
You will mentor engineers, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and provide temporary works design solutions, supporting bid activities and client relationships.

Location: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth – agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Highways & Drainage Engineer, you'll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering construction engineering services that are safe, innovative and buildable. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of construction engineering services, focusing on highways and drainage solutions. You'll play a key role in providing safe, buildable solutions across temporary and permanent works design, supporting bid winning activities, and contributing to technical excellence. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you'll help shape innovative approaches while mentoring others and building strong client relationships.
