Bimplus is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Colchester, delivering engineering leadership and technical oversight on a high-profile infrastructure project.

You will review drawings, coordinate with site teams and subcontractors, monitor quality and progress, and drive delivery from an engineering perspective on this 12-month contract in Colchester.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on major highways/civil projects.
• Strong understanding of highways construction and engineering principles.
• Experience on large-scale infrastructure schemes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior engineering support across a major highways scheme.
• Oversee engineering activities and ensure works are delivered to programme and required standards.
• Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, designers and project management.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Monitor quality, progress and compliance across the works.
