Job summary

North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a Senior Technician to join the Highways and Development Control team. This hands-on role focuses on delivering technical information, maintaining records, contributing to reports and supporting data-driven decisions for highways projects.

You will inspect sites, run surveys and audits, manage data across systems and assist colleagues and partners with clear, accurate information to shape future transport improvements in North East Lincolnshire.

Qualifications

• experience in a relevant technical or professional field who is comfortable working with data, systems, records and technical information.
• you’ll need to be organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities.
• experience of preparing or contributing to reports, plans or documentation would be helpful particularly with financial data and invoicing, along with experience of inspections, surveys, audits or public engagement.

Responsibilities

• You will manage technical information, maintain accurate records, contribute to reports, support investigations and help ensure colleagues have data and evidence needed to make good decisions.
• You’ll be a key point of contact for routine technical queries, helping colleagues, members, partners and stakeholders understand information clearly and confidently. You’ll also support site inspections, surveys, audits and data collection, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date.
