Job summary

Portfolio Group is seeking a Payroll Senior for a well-established accountancy practice in the UK. The role is hybrid, with two days home-based, supporting a portfolio of clients and ensuring timely payroll processing.

You will manage weekly, biweekly and monthly payrolls, RTI submissions, year-end procedures, auto-enrolment and pensions, and collaborate with clients to resolve payroll queries. Strong Excel and payroll knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Payroll bureau experience is essential.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll roles.
• Experience with pensions and auto enrolment.
• Knowledge of NEST is advantageous.
• Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process varied weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Handle client payroll queries and liaise with clients.
• Perform RTI submissions and year-end procedures.
• Support auto-enrolment and pension processing.
• Manage high-volume multi-client payrolls.
