Job summary

Bromford Flagship LiveWest is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Team Lead to provide leadership, direction and professional expertise across the organisation, helping to ensure colleagues, customers and contractors can work and live safely.

You'll lead a team of health and safety professionals, embed a positive safety culture, balance compliance with practical, customer-focused solutions, and support operational leaders across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading or supervising health and safety teams in complex, multi-site organisations.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance requirements and management systems.
• Experience delivering audits, assurance activities and performance monitoring.
• Experience leading incident investigations, including serious and RIDDOR events.
• Ability to build relationships and provide expert advice to leaders and operational teams.
• Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of operational health and safety support across the business.
• Ensure effective systems, controls and assurance activities are in place and consistently applied.
• Set priorities and provide day-to-day direction and support.
• Support implementation of health and safety strategy across operational teams.
• Coordinate assurance activities, audits, inspections and monitoring.
• Support the investigation of incidents, including significant and RIDDOR-reportable events.
• Identify opportunities to improve health and safety performance, systems and culture.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and operational teams to influence safe behaviours and effective risk management.
