Job summary

Bromford Flagship LiveWest is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Team Lead to provide leadership, direction and professional expertise across our organisation, helping to ensure colleagues, customers and contractors can work and live safely.

You will lead a team of health and safety professionals, support operational leaders, embed a positive safety culture balancing compliance with practical solutions, and travel regularly across our geography.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading or supervising health and safety teams within complex, multi-site organisations.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance requirements and management systems.
• Experience delivering audits, assurance activities and performance monitoring.
• Experience supporting and leading incident investigations, including serious and RIDDOR-reportable incidents.
• Ability to build effective relationships and provide expert advice to leaders and operational teams.
• Experience producing and presenting health and safety reports, insights and recommendations.
• A passion for developing others and embedding a positive safety culture.
• Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of operational health and safety support across the business, ensuring effective systems, controls and assurance activities are in place and consistently applied.
• Leading, coaching and developing a team of Health and Safety professionals.
• Setting priorities and providing day-to-day direction and support.
• Supporting the implementation of health and safety strategy across operational teams.
• Coordinating assurance activities, audits, inspections and compliance monitoring.
• Supporting the investigation of incidents, including significant and RIDDOR-reportable events.
• Identifying opportunities to improve health and safety performance, systems and culture.
• Ensuring learning, best practice and continuous improvement are embedded across the organisation.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders and operational teams to influence safe behaviours and effective risk management.
