Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor based in the Northwest (Manchester/Liverpool/Leeds) with hands-on experience across infrastructure environments. The role involves frequent travel to multiple sites and a focus on driving HSEQ excellence.

You will lead investigations, promote a proactive safety culture, and autonomously manage your diary and workload while collaborating with site teams to ensure best-practice safety standards are applied across projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in health & safety in infrastructure environments (civil engineering or construction).
• NEBOSH Certificate required at minimum.
• Willing to travel across the Northwest region 3–4 days a week or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead on accident investigations and root-cause analysis to implement improvements.

I am searching for a health and safety professional who has strong hands‑on experience working across infrastructure environments, this can be civil engineering or construction. The ideal candidate will be based in Northwest region and happy to travel across multiple sites.

The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

• Driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for health & safety
• Work with site teams to drive best practice across HSEQ
• Able to work autonomously and manage their own diary and workload.
• Support the team to create a positive health & safety culture
• Lead on accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans.
• Drive continuous improvement across all areas of HSEQ
• Promote Health & Safety initiatives
• Manage internal & external stakeholders

The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will have responsible for:

• 2 year + experience working in health & safety
• NEBOSH Certificate minimum
• Experience working in civil engineering or the construction industry
• Happy to travel across the region 3/4 days a week or when required.
