Job summary

Finlay Jude Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join the SHEQ team in the Manchester/Northwest region. The role is a permanent full-time position with hybrid working options.

You will oversee robust safety standards across high-profile civil, mechanical, and electrical projects and lead incident investigations and policy rollouts. You will report to the SHEQ Framework Manager and drive risk reduction, audits, and data-driven improvements, while liaising with

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation, CDM Regulations, and HSE guidance.
• Experience with SHEQ management systems (ISO 45001) and audit processes.
• Data analysis, trend identification, and reporting.
• Full UK driving licence – ability to travel to all sites in region.
• Experience in Construction, Water or Civils industry.
• Knowledge of HSE Directives and H&S regulations.
• Formal qualification in Occupational Safety and Health, e.g. NEBOSH diploma.
• Construction-related health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Construction.
• CSCS Card – desirable

Responsibilities

• Understanding our approach to managing SHEQ risk and delivering best in class performance at a Senior Level.
• Maintaining a dynamic and driven approach to supporting SHEQ across the company.
• Facilitating the development and implementation of policies, procedures, management systems and risk controls, which will help reduce risk and support a positive SHEQ culture
• Organising audits and supporting the delivery and execution of SHEQ assurance audits.
• Conducting accident/incident investigations and/or supporting investigations conducted by the Head of SHEQ.
• Integrating within the wider project teams to understand day to day challenges.
• Working with our clients to deliver collaborative approaches to SHEQ.
• Exposure to the project management lifecycle of project delivery.
• Highlighting opportunity for sustainable solutions.
• Trending and analysis of key performance data.
• Maintenance of our externally certified management systems.
