Ashley Court Care Home in England is seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our caring team. You will deliver person-centred care, support residents with daily activities, and guide other team members to maintain high standards of care.

The role involves monitoring wellbeing, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with medication under training. Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with development and progression opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or healthcare setting.
• Passion for caring for older people.
• Confident, reliable and well-organised.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willing to undertake relevant training.
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Provide person-centred care to residents.

Ashley Court Care Home is looking for a compassionate, dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our caring team.

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, while also supporting and guiding other members of the care team.

Key responsibilities

• Providing person-centred care and support to residents
• Assisting residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily activities
• Supporting residents to maintain their dignity, independence and choice
• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
• Completing accurate care records and documentation
• Administering medication where trained and authorised to do so
• Supporting care staff and helping to coordinate daily duties
• Leading by example and promoting high standards of care
• Communicating effectively with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals
• Supporting the Home Manager and senior team with the smooth running of the home
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and infection-control procedures

About you

• Has experience working in a care or healthcare setting
• Has a genuine passion for caring for older people
• Is confident, reliable and organised
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Is able to take responsibility and provide guidance to other care staffUnderstands the importance of dignity, privacy and person-centred care
• Is willing to undertake relevant training and development
• A relevant care qualification, such as an NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, is desirable.
