Job summary

Thales Group is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead a small multi-disciplinary team across Templecombe, Crawley or Cheadle. The role encompasses tasking, resource allocation and supporting work package management for high‑complex technical programmes.

You will drive hardware development lifecycle, tailor engineering environments, and contribute to architecture and function allocation while collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams. Some travel across locations is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience leading small teams or programmes.
• Experience in Systems/Hardware/Electronics engineering.
• Experience with project tracking tools such as Jira.
• Engineering lifecycle experience.

Responsibilities

• Define the Hardware development cycle in line with upper/same level elements.
• Tailor the hardware engineering environment to project requirements.
• Allocate responsibilities to individual contributors.
• Participate in architecture definition and function allocation.
