Job summary

Thales Group is seeking a Technical Product Owner for Hardware Engineering Environments in the UK. You will own the backlog, define requirements, and drive the evolution of secure engineering tools across multiple sites including Crawley, Reading, and others.

You will act as the Technical Authority, work within an Agile team, and coordinate with engineering heads, portfolio managers and delivery teams to deliver the engineering applications strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electronic or electrical engineering.
• Experience enabling hardware engineering environments and tools.
• Experience in product ownership or technical leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of engineering toolchains and workflows.
• Ability to translate user needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the product backlog for hardware environments.
• Define requirements, acceptance criteria and priorities.
• Validate completed features and gather user feedback.
• Lead evolution and migration of engineering applications.
• Align toolsets with group roadmaps and security requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, leads, and delivery teams.
