Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a hardware engineer to shape the electronics at the heart of next‑generation EW and FCA systems. You’ll work primarily at our Luton and Bristol sites with hybrid working and typical on‑site presence 3–4 days per week, contributing across the full hardware lifecycle from requirements to delivery.

Qualifications

Senior/Principal/Lead hardware engineer with multi‑domain expertise.
Strong background in high‑speed digital or mixed‑signal design.
Hands‑on experience designing high‑speed PCBs.
Experience with FPGA/SoC-based designs and high‑speed links.

Responsibilities

Own hardware designs from requirements to delivery across full lifecycle.
Design and develop complex high‑performance electronics (PCBs, FPGA/SoC).
Translate system requirements into robust hardware solutions.
Lead design reviews, trade studies and technical decisions.
Integrate in-house designs with COTS modules and drive verification.
