Job summary

HENSOLDT UK, Kelvin Hughes Limited, is seeking a highly capable electronics design engineer to contribute across the development lifecycle of maritime radar electronics. You will translate system requirements into robust board-level designs, perform high-speed digital and analogue design, and verify with test specifications.

Collaboration across engineering and manufacturing is essential. The role requires a degree in electronics, strong CAD skills (Orcad/Altium), and hands-on FPGA/VHDL and

Qualifications

  • Good degree in electronics or related subject.
  • Strong teamwork and organisation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Experience with CAD tools for circuit/PCB design and simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Design high speed digital circuits and simulate analogue sections.
  • Bridge firmware and hardware with FPGA using VHDL/Embedded C.
  • Use CAD tools for circuit/PCB design and verification.
  • Develop and write test specifications for hardware assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on hardware test solutions.
  • Contribute to product development lifecycle from design to reporting.
  • Travel within the UK as required.
