Job summary

DCS Engineering are supporting a leading organisation in recruiting a Facilities Manager to oversee hard FM services across a high-profile site.

This is an operational leadership role focused on subcontractor management, compliance, and KPI/SLAs, with responsibility for health and safety and client relationships in a demanding environment. Previous experience in hard FM and a technical background are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or similar in a high-demand environment.
• Experience managing hard FM services via subcontractors.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading operational teams and managing direct reports.
• Technical background in electrical or mechanical disciplines preferred.
• IOSH qualification or equivalent advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hard FM service delivery through subcontractors across the site.
• Lead two Assistant Facilities Managers and monitor team performance.
• Ensure planned and reactive maintenance meets contractual requirements and compliance standards.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships within a high-expectation environment.
• Monitor contractor performance against KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement.
• Support delivery of small works and quoted projects across the site.
• Ensure statutory maintenance and compliance requirements are met.
• Produce operational reports and maintain accurate compliance documentation.
• Support effective health and safety management across site operations.
• Ensure customer requirements are communicated to teams and subcontractors.
