Job summary

Quilter plc in Southampton is seeking a Senior Group Reporting Accountant to deliver statutory financial statements and regulatory returns for the Quilter Group and subsidiaries. You will work in Group Finance's Financial and Regulatory Reporting team, reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, helping maintain the external reporting framework and drive process improvements.

The role requires ACA/ACCA or equivalent, IFRS/UK GAAP expertise, strong analytical skills and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with strong post-qualification experience.
• Good knowledge and understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Practical experience of financial reporting processes and controls
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high quality reporting
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change in a complex and changing environment
• Experience of process improvement and reporting simplification activity
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Preparing regulatory returns.
• Completing reporting, disclosure, consolidation and control processes for month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting cycles.
• Working as part of a team to safeguard the quality of Quilter’s reporting.
• Working with Technology to maintain general ledger hierarchies in Workday and related processes.
• Providing information and explanations to external auditors.
