Job summary

RG Setsquare in East London is seeking a Senior/Group Buyer to lead sourcing and purchasing across multiple sites. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and drive cost savings while ensuring continuity of supply on projects across commercial, healthcare, education, and residential sectors.

The role requires strong negotiation, supplier-management and analytical skills, with experience using ERP procurement systems and Excel.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Group Buyer, Senior Buyer, or Procurement professional.
Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
Experience managing suppliers across multiple sites or business units.
Strong commercial and analytical skills with a focus on cost savings.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
Manage Group-wide purchasing and sourcing activities.
Identify, assess, and manage key suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and rebates.
Develop strong relationships with strategic suppliers.
Identify and deliver cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities.
Monitor supplier performance, including price, quality, and delivery.
Consolidate Group purchasing requirements to maximise buying power.
Work with Operations, Finance, and other departments to meet purchasing needs.
Manage purchase orders and resolve supplier issues.
Monitor purchasing spend and provide reports on savings and supplier performance.
Support tenders, supplier reviews, and contract negotiations.
Ensure purchasing follows Group policies and procedures.
