Job summary

Hiscox is seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join the UK Group Finance team. You will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation and reporting under IFRS and Solvency II, collaborating with Finance Directors and controllers across the business.

You will maintain the control framework, drive process improvements, and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships while supporting finance projects and the wider team.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with experience in IFRS and regulatory reporting.
• Strong understanding of group consolidation and financial statements.
• Ability to challenge results constructively and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Produce and present group consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under IFRS and Solvency II.
• Maintain and enhance the financial control environment for group consolidation reporting.
• Proactively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Streamline and automate finance processes using technology and best practices.
• Support Head of Group Financial Reporting in driving continuous improvement.
• Support finance and group-wide projects relevant to the role.
• Promote a culture of excellence within the Financial Control team.
