Job summary

WSP is recruiting mid-career hydrogeologists/modellers to lead groundwater modelling projects and to support a portfolio of high-profile water resources and environmental projects in the UK. You will manage scopes, budgets, and client relationships, while mentoring junior staff in a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers opportunities to collaborate across sectors, contribute to bids, and deliver integrated water resources solutions with a strong safety culture. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• MSc Hydrogeology combined with a BSc degree in a related discipline.
• You will have gained, or be working towards chartership with a relevant professional body.
• Experience in groundwater modelling and water resources.

Responsibilities

• Technical delivery of hydrogeology and water resources projects, with emphasis on regional groundwater modelling.
• Manage projects including financial oversight, change control and quality assurance.
• Mentor, supervise and develop junior team members.
• Work with the Hydrogeology and Groundwater Services Lead to define scopes and approaches.
• Produce high quality client and public facing deliverables that communicate complex data clearly.
• Contribute to bid proposals and help develop innovative solutions for clients.
• Work collaboratively with other sectors and disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes.
• Promote a safety first culture in line with WSP policies.
