Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Senior Technician in the UK to repair and maintain Ground Support Equipment, electrical systems and location-specific gear, ensuring safety and efficiency for Ramp/Sort/Aircraft MXT teams.

The role requires a full driving licence (LCV/GSE), relevant qualification, and strong diagnostic and planning skills. Opportunity to lead and prioritise tasks while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence (LCV and/or GSE licence).
• Relevant qualification in automotive, truck or plant equipment.
• Able to lift & manoeuvre vehicle components up to 25 kg and larger with equipment.
• Substantial experience of vehicle and plant maintenance; knowledge of vehicle types, systems, diagnosis, repair.
• Good health and safety knowledge in workshop environments.
• Experience reviewing repairs against standards and identifying corrective actions.
• Experience working independently and as part of a team.
• Basic interpersonal skills; good planning and organising abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for repair and maintenance of GSE and electrical systems to keep ramp/sort/aircraft MXT teams operating safely.
• Perform servicing and repair using diagnostic equipment and vehicle specifications; oversee outsourcing when needed.
• Maintain documentation and data integrity per defined standards.
• Support the Manager with lead duties including workload allocation and audits of results and standards.
