Job summary

Ampere Recruitment is partnering with a forward‑looking grid technology company seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer. The role focuses on grid‑connected inverter design from simulation through to prototype and validation.

You'll collaborate with mechanical, control and software engineers on live projects, designing, testing, debugging and shaping product performance in the field.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or equivalent) and solid high‑power experience in power electronics.
• Familiar with circuit modelling and simulation tools like SPICE, Altium and MATLAB.
• Real lab and site testing experience with oscilloscopes, power analysers and grid emulators.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing power converters and controllers for grid-connected applications.
• PCB layout with focus on signal integrity and interfacing power stages with transformers, digital controllers, filters.
• Write specs, test reports and manuals; work to real deadlines with a cross‑functional team.
• Travel occasionally for testing and commissioning.
