Job summary

IONATE in London seeks a Principal Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design of grid-connected power conversion systems. You will guide architecture, oversee hardware development, and collaborate with a world-class team on cutting-edge green technology.

You will own from concept to production, drive EMI/EMC compliance, and mentor engineers while engaging across multidisciplinary teams and external partners. This role is based in London with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Extensive end-to-end power electronics product development experience.
• Proven ability to design and deliver high-voltage converters.
• Deep understanding of grid-connected converters and topologies such as CHB/LLC/MMC.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and development of power electronics for grid-connected applications.
• Oversee PCB design with emphasis on signal integrity and manufacturability.
• Drive EMI/EMC design and compliance activities across projects.
• Mentor engineers and conduct design reviews.
• Coordinate verification, validation and system-level testing.
