Job summary

Ampere Recruitment is partnering with a cutting-edge energy tech business in Greater London to hire a Senior Power Electronics Engineer focused on grid-connected inverters. You will own hands-on development from simulation to prototype, collaborating with mechanical, control and software teams.

You will design and test power converters for grid applications, work on PCB layouts with signal integrity, and contribute to validation and field performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in high-power grid-connected inverter design and testing.
• Proficiency with circuit modelling/simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop power converters and controllers for grid-connected applications.
• Lead PCB layout with focus on signal integrity and thermal/EMC considerations.
• Prototype, test, debug, and support field validation and production.
