Job summary

Statkraft, Europe’s leading renewable energy generator, seeks a Senior Grid Engineer – Power Systems & Compliance in the UK to lead grid code compliance, power system studies and project delivery for BESS, wind and solar projects.

You will oversee grid connection, modelling, submissions and regulatory processes, mentor engineers, and coordinate with project teams, NESO, DNOs and network operators in a hybrid working arrangement across Scotland.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong experience with transmission-connected generation, energy storage and grid support technologies.
• Knowledge of GB Grid Code, Grid connection processes and network compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Grid Code and G99 compliance activities, translating requirements into deliverables.
• Manage power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, harmonics, stability) and associated modelling.
• Coordinate technical submissions, evidence and compliance close-out with NESO, Transmission Owners and DNOs.
• Define and review plant control and integration requirements (BESS, EMS, grid-forming controls).
• Provide technical leadership across design, construction and commissioning, mentoring other engineers.
