Job summary

SmartSourcing Ltd, London or Milton Keynes based, seeks an experienced Commercial Category Lead to drive complex government technology procurements across hardware, software, cloud and digital services.

You will develop category strategies, manage procurement pipelines and deliver end-to-end procurements under PCR15 and PR23, collaborating with senior stakeholders and applying government frameworks like G-Cloud.

Qualifications

Public sector procurement experience, ideally within DDaT or technology categories.
Strong knowledge of PCR15 and/or Procurement Act 2023 (PR23).
Experience procuring software, cloud, infrastructure and digital services.
Expertise in government frameworks including G-Cloud and other routes to market.
Proven ability to lead high-value procurements and commercial governance activities.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
Experience developing sourcing strategies and managing commercial risk.

Responsibilities

Develop category strategies and manage procurement pipelines.
Deliver compliant end-to-end procurements under PCR15 and PR23.
Provide guidance on government frameworks, governance and sourcing strategy to senior stakeholders.
Lead commercial risk management and negotiation activities.
