Citi's AI Product & Platform team invites you to join a high-growth engineering group within the Chief Technology Office, building next-generation AI-powered products and platforms. You will design scalable Golang services, contribute to cloud-native microservices, and collaborate with AI specialists to deliver production-ready solutions.

You will mentor engineers, push code quality, and help shape an engineering culture focused on performance and observability.

Qualifications

• Golang expert with production experience building scalable backend services.
• Experience designing large-scale backend APIs.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-native tech, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering, system design and performance.
• Experience shipping products from concept to production.
• Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-powered apps is desirable.
• Passion for modern engineering practices and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered products and platforms using Golang.
• Develop high-performance backend services and APIs at enterprise scale.
• Build and enhance internal developer tools, frameworks and reusable components.
• Partner with product, engineering and AI teams to production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
• Drive engineering best practices across code quality, testing, observability and CI/CD.
• Solve distributed systems challenges focusing on scalability, resilience and performance.
• Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
