Job summary

Citi London is seeking a data-focused Full-Stack Engineer to help make Citi Assist smarter, safer and better. You will build systems behind testing, evaluation and feedback, turning real-world data into insights that improve AI quality and performance.

You’ll work across a stack—from React and data visualisation to backend services, APIs and data pipelines—owning features end-to-end and shaping the platform's technical direction. Hybrid work available.

Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying production full-stack applications.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong data engineering, analytics and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React).
• Strong SQL and relational DB experience (Postgres).
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and containerised environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing and engineering best practices.
• Experience with data visualization, analytics or experimentation.
• Technical leadership and ownership with track record of delivering impact.
• Desirable: GenAI/LLM evaluation, AI safety, prompt engineering, data pipeline tools (Airflow/Dagster).

Responsibilities

• Build testing, evaluation and feedback platforms for GenAI products.
• Develop full-stack features using TypeScript, React and Python.
• Create scalable APIs, backend services and data pipelines.
• Design data models and frameworks to measure AI quality and performance.
• Create dashboards and visualisations from data.
• Analyse AI performance and identify quality improvements.
• Own features from concept to production.
• Influence architecture, direction and engineering standards.
• Build with security, resilience, and compliance in mind.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering bar.
