Job summary

Oliver Bernard is seeking an experienced Senior Golang Engineer to design, develop, and scale backend services in a cloud-native, Kubernetes-based environment. You will own critical components, guide architecture decisions, and mentor other engineers in a highly collaborative team.

The role emphasizes reliability, performance, security, and platform automation within a modern engineering culture. Hybrid work is available, with 2 days onsite in Canary Wharf, London.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building backend services in Go at scale.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and cloud-native platform design.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentoring and guiding engineers in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Go.
• Build and operate cloud-native apps on Kubernetes.
• Develop microservices with focus on reliability, performance, security.
• Improve CI/CD, observability, and platform automation.
• Collaborate with Platform, DevOps, Security, and Product teams.
• Lead technical discussions and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
