Job summary

Able Consult is seeking an Installation & Commissioning Manager to lead complex engineering installations across the UK and overseas. You will oversee installation, commissioning, testing, handover and post-project support, ensuring safe, compliant delivery to programme requirements.

You will work with project, engineering and site teams, manage budgets, labour plans and subcontractors, coordinate SAT, and lead site teams to successful handovers and warranty activities.

Qualifications

• Installation and commissioning experience in process plant/utilities/industrial environments.
• Experience managing site-based teams and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of SAT and project handovers.
• Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4/FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent, CSCS card, SMSTS.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead mobilisation and site readiness activities.
• Manage installation budgets, labour plans and subcontractors.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, pipework and control system installation activities.
• Coordinate commissioning, testing and SAT.
• Support project handovers and warranty activities.
• Manage defects, root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, LOLER, RAMS and site safety requirements.
• Maintain project records and support contractual obligations.
• Lead and develop site teams, subcontractors and commissioning personnel.
