Job summary

Matchtech Group seeks a Group Financial Controller to join the finance team in Poole, Dorset. The role oversees group reporting, treasury, taxation, governance, and controls for a standalone entity in the maritime sector.

The ideal candidate will lead a global finance team, drive improvements to ERP systems and reporting processes, and ensure robust financial controls while partnering with senior leadership on strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CPA.
• Extensive experience in group financial reporting, consolidation and controls.
• Proven treasury, taxation, and governance expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual group financial statements.
• Oversee consolidation of global results and intercompany eliminations.
• Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance and maintain strong financial controls.
• Manage external audits and relationships with auditors, advisers and regulators.
• Oversee global cash management, liquidity planning and debt facilities.
