A leading South Coast business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of financial reporting, controls, governance and business partnering across a complex, multi-site operation.

This is a highly visible leadership role, partnering with senior stakeholders across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity, driving process improvements, and supporting continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end, quarterly and annual reporting process.
• Ensure robust financial controls, balance sheet integrity, and governance.
• Manage audits, statutory requirements, and compliance activities.
• Partner with operational and commercial leaders to provide financial insight and challenge.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting processes.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Proven Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience within fast paced businesses.
• Solid technical accounting, financial-control, and balance-sheet management capability.
• Excellent analytical and financial-modelling skills, with advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, able to understand contract performance and its accounting, control, balance-sheet, and cash implications and provide robust financial challenge.
• The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders and comfortable with change; able to adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach
• Experience improving processes and controls.
• Excellent analytical and financial-modelling skills, with advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
• Experience in Facilities Management, Construction or a similar contract-led services sector is a preference.
