Job summary

EF Education First seeks a Director of Content and Course Design to lead cross-disciplinary teams in creating high-quality K-12 curricula and materials for digital and print publishing. The role emphasizes standards alignment, global scalability, and human-in-the-loop learning science.

You will supervise content groups across regions, shape unit plans and assessments, and advance AI-enabled design while balancing pedagogy with market needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
• 5–7 years' experience in curriculum or content development.
• Experience developing digital learning content and print/textbook publishing.
• Proven leadership or management experience supervising content teams.
• Experience across international, multi-market educational contexts (public/private, B2G/B2C/B2B).

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain quality standards for K-12 learning content and course design.
• Lead design and sequencing of standards-aligned curricula across disciplines.
• Oversee end-to-end production for digital and print publishing workflows.
• Direct development of unit plans, performance tasks, and assessments.
• Guide adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows with human-in-the-loop oversight.
• Lead content development, testing, and sign-off across markets and countries.
• Partner with product, sales, and government-relations stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with authors, publishers, and standards bodies.
• Deliver projects on time and to specification, managing concurrent initiatives.
