Job summary

Dalcour Maclaren Limited is seeking a Senior GIS Specialist to join our Geomatics team in the UK. You will produce GIS plans for land ownership, access, and utility routing, sourced from Land Registry, Ordnance Survey and other agencies.

You will manage data and support clients with ArcGIS Enterprise/Online, Collector, Survey123, Geoserver and OpenLayers, while leading project work and mentoring juniors. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Have a degree or masters in GIS or closely related subject.
• Experience in utility/energy sector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS for spatial data capture, management and analysis.
• Experience with mobile and web apps such as ArcGIS Enterprise or Online, Collector and Survey123; Geoserver and OpenLayers.
• Experience of database creation, maintenance and integration.
• Strong map production background with attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site and project locations.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate GIS plans ranging from land ownership, access, utility routing, and legal plans.
• Obtain, manage and analyse data from Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency and Utility companies to support clients.
• Update online mapping systems and mobile applications to innovate and improve service.
• Identify data sources, engage with suppliers to licence, obtain and set up the environment to gain best value.
• Manage projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, and coordinate with clients and surveyors.
• Mentor junior team members, provide feedback and conduct progress reviews.
• Ensure data quality standards are maintained at all times.
