Job summary
United Utilities is seeking a talented GIS Network Advisor to maintain and improve network boundaries, DMA, DPA, and WSZ data within GIS, ensuring accuracy and integrity to support operational decisions.
You'll translate changes from operations, resolve complex queries with stakeholders, provide first-line GIS support, and contribute to GIS platform improvements, training, and testing.
Qualifications
- Advanced GIS expertise with ArcGIS experience.
- Ability to translate network changes into GIS updates.
- Strong stakeholder communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent planning and time management.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage water boundaries, DMA, DPA and WSZ within GIS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Translate network and asset changes from operational teams into accurate GIS updates.
- Investigate complex data queries and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Provide first line GIS support, helping colleagues understand network boundaries and asset information.
- Partner with stakeholders to improve GIS processes and outputs.
- Produce, analyse and interpret reports to support data quality and decision making.
- Work with Water Data Maintainers to understand impact of network updates.
- Support system enhancements, testing, and disaster recovery testing.
- Deliver guidance and training to team members, building GIS capability.
