Superstructures, part of the Zenon Group, seeks an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical assessments and ground investigations across UK projects. You will interpret soil and rock conditions, provide engineering recommendations, and manage the delivery from initial scoping through reporting and completion.

You will oversee project programmes, budgets, and resources while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with civil and structural teams to deliver practical,

Competenze

• Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in geotechnical engineering and ground investigations.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil and rock mechanics, and UK standards.
• Experience planning and managing ground investigations (drilling, pits, in-situ tests, lab testing).
• Experience preparing Ground Investigation Reports and Geotechnical Interpretative Reports.

• Lead geotechnical assessments, interpret ground conditions and provide engineering recommendations.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise ground investigations; ensure reliable data for design.
• Prepare, review and approve technical reports and QA procedures.
• Manage geotechnical projects from scoping to completion, including budgets and resources.
• Provide geotechnical input on foundations, earthworks, retaining structures and ground stability.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to business growth.
• Coordinate subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote standardised procedures and reporting templates.
• Ensure health, safety and risk management across site investigations.
