Align Property Services is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex ground engineering projects from Otley with weekly attendance in Northallerton. You will mentor junior engineers, oversee ground investigations, and develop robust geotechnical designs for highway and land-slip sites across the region.
The role requires substantial post‑graduate experience in engineering geology/geotechnical engineering, Chartered status or equivalent, and strong report writing and client‑facing
Salary: £48000 to £52000 per annum, experience dependant.
Location: Otley, West Yorkshire
Contract: Permanent, full-time, Monday – Friday
Benefits: 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays’, company pension and other benefits.
Due to recent successful awards of several large, complex landslide investigations and a growing portfolio of schemes across the North of England, we are now looking for an experiencedSenior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and deliver cutting‑edge ground engineering solutions across a range of high‑profile infrastructure and development projects at Align Property Services.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of complex geotechnical designs, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping sustainable, resilient geotechnical designs for the highway infrastructure, for land slip sites in the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. You will also oversee and technically supervise the construction of your designs. The base for the role can be Otley, with regular attendance in the Northallerton office, one day a week.
