Job summary

Fusion People is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for a permanent role in the North-East. The role offers hybrid working with 2 days from home and a salary in the £48,000–£52,000 range.

You will lead and deliver complex ground investigation programmes, prepare and review factual and interpretative reports, oversee site investigations, and mentor junior team members. Chartered Geologist (CGeol) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSc in Geology or related discipline required.
• MSc in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Geologist (CGeol) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent accreditation.
• Substantial experience in engineering geology/geotechnical engineering.
• Experience planning and reporting on ground investigations.
• Experience managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Full UK driving licence for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Planning, design and delivery of complex ground investigation programmes
• Preparing and reviewing factual and interpretative ground investigation reports
• Overseeing site investigations, logging and monitoring activities
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior team members
