Amentum is expanding its UK Ground Engineering capability, seeking a Principal or Technical Director Geotechnical Design Engineer to lead complex projects across Defence, Nuclear, Energy and Government sectors. Hybrid working from London, Gloucester, Bristol (and Glasgow) is offered, with a strong emphasis on numerical modelling and client relationships.
The role requires MSc/CEng qualification, extensive geotechnical consultancy experience and mastery of PLAXIS/FLAC to deliver innovative ground
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline with MSc or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience in geotechnical design consultancy and project delivery.
Responsabilités
- Lead geotechnical design and technical delivery from concept to construction support.
- Undertake advanced numerical modelling analyses using PLAXIS/FLAC 2D/3D or similar.
- Deliver geotechnical assessments and designs for foundations, Earthworks, excavations and soil-structure interaction.
- Review ground investigation data to develop robust design solutions.
- Contribute to technical excellence, innovation and best practice within Ground Engineering.
