Zusammenfassung

Amentum is seeking a Principal or Technical Director Geotechnical Design Engineer to lead the geotechnical design delivery on major projects across defence, nuclear, energy and infrastructure. Hybrid working from London or other UK locations will be considered.

You will apply advanced numerical modelling (PLAXIS 2D/3D, FLAC 2D/3D) and develop robust, cost-effective foundation and earthwork solutions, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline with MSc or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant experience in geotechnical design consultancy and project delivery.
• Experience with numerical modelling using PLAXIS or FLAC/FLAC3D.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

Aufgaben

• Lead geotechnical design and technical delivery of major projects from concept to construction support.
• Undertake and direct advanced numerical modelling analyses.
• Deliver geotechnical assessments and designs for foundations, excavations, earthworks and soil-structure interaction.
• Review ground investigation data to develop robust and cost-effective designs.
• Collaborate with structural, civil, seismic, nuclear and environmental specialists.
