Job summary

Bridgewater Consultancy UK Ltd is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to lead specialist ground engineering projects in Camberley. You will design foundations, retaining walls, basements, and ground improvement, from tender through to construction, collaborating with design managers, project teams and clients.

You will apply Eurocodes and British Standards, analyse ground investigations, prepare reports, and support tender submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• UK geotechnical design experience.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground engineering principles.
• Experience preparing geotechnical calculations and design reports.
• Ability to interpret ground investigation data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical designs for foundations, retaining walls, embedded walls and temporary works.
• Support tender-stage design and value engineering.
• Provide technical support during construction and respond to design queries.
• Coordinate with CAD and design teams to produce drawings and submissions.
• Ensure outputs are aligned with Eurocodes and British Standards.
