Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Geo-environmental Consultant to join our Ground Assessment Team. You will lead technical input across project lifecycles, focusing on the characterisation of materials and management of contaminated sites for major UK infrastructure programmes.

You will bring Chartered status and a strong track record in land quality evaluation, with excellent communication to collaborate with design teams, clients, and partners.

Qualifications

• A degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or a related Earth sciences discipline.
• Chartered status with a recognised professional body (e.g., CGeol, CEnv, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of UK legislation related to land quality, contaminated sites, and environmental risk assessment.
• Proven experience in land quality evaluation and contaminated site management within a UK consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical management and input across the project lifecycle.
• Characterise materials and manage contaminated sites for infrastructure projects.
• Produce technical reports, risk assessments and remediation strategies.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders and project partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
