Job summary

RJ Martindale Plumbing & Heating is seeking experienced Senior Gas Heating Engineers to service Preston and surrounding areas. You’ll handle boiler installations, servicing and breakdowns, fault finding, commissioning and gas safety inspections across domestic systems.

We offer a competitive package (£38,500 - £41,600) with a company van, fuel card, uniform, 28 days holiday and ongoing training. Monday–Friday pattern with optional overtime and strong progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years domestic heating experience
• ACS qualifications (CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT)
• Gas Safe Registered
• Strong fault-finding ability
• Broad heating systems knowledge
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Boiler installations, servicing and breakdown repairs
• Heating and hot water fault finding
• First fix through to final commissioning
• Domestic Gas Safety inspections
• Pipework and associated heating works
• Ongoing diagnostics and problem solving
• Working closely with a supportive office and management team

Skills

The Role

You’ll be working across domestic heating systems throughout Greater Manchester carrying out:

• Boiler installations, servicing and breakdown repairs
• Heating and hot water fault finding
• First fix through to final commissioning
• Domestic Gas Safety inspections
• Pipework and associated heating works
• Ongoing diagnostics and problem solving
• Working closely with a supportive office and management team

Essential:

• 5+ years domestic heating experience

Desirable:

• G3 Unvented
• Commercial gas, renewables or oil experience
• Strong customer communication skills
