Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Consultant - Depositary Fund Oversight in the UK to lead ongoing risk oversight of AFMs and funds, including governance, monitoring, and due diligence.

The role requires strong knowledge of fund products, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder management. You will contribute to risk management frameworks and coordinate global and local oversight activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Depositary duties and responsibilities.
• Understanding of investment risk.
• Knowledge of fund products and operating structures.
• Solid knowledge of FCA regulations for Funds and Depositary responsibilities.
• Experience in risk management or compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Effective communication and relationship management skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory and fund-specific requirements for AFMs and funds.
• Perform asset eligibility assessments across equities, bonds, derivatives, etc.
• Conduct liquidity monitoring, derivative exposure, and fair value pricing analysis.
• Contribute to Depositary risk management framework enhancements.
• Lead fund oversight for launches and change events.
• Build relationships with offshore locations, AFMs, and delegates.
• Conduct due diligence visits and prepare related reports.
• Manage team workloads to ensure timely deliverables and KPI reporting.
