Job summary

Northern Trust Corp is seeking a Senior Consultant - Depositary Fund Oversight in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on ongoing oversight of AFMs, fund risk management and regulatory compliance across OEICs, unit trusts and AIFs.

You will lead due diligence, KPIs and reporting, coordinating with offshore locations and delegates while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. A solid background in depositary duties and investment risk is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Depositary duties and responsibilities.
• Understanding of investment risk.
• Knowledge of fund products and operating structures, investment strategies and asset classes.
• Solid knowledge of FCA regulations for Funds and Depositary responsibilities.
• Previous risk management or compliance experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Effective communication and relationship management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work individually and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing monitoring of regulatory (COLL & AIFMD) and fund-specific requirements for AFMs daily.
• Deliver effective compliance monitoring plans and reports.
• Perform qualitative asset eligibility assessments across equities, bonds, derivatives.
• Conduct liquidity monitoring, derivative exposure and fair value pricing analysis.
• Contribute to Depositary risk management framework developments (ESG oversight).
• Lead fund oversight reviews of scheme launches and changes.
• Build and maintain relationships with offshore locations, AFMs and delegates.
• Perform due diligence visits and produce related reports.
• Manage team workloads and priorities to ensure timely deliverables.
• Develop KPIs for offshore locations and present MI regularly.
