Job summary

Northern Trust is recruiting a Senior Consultant for Depositary Fund Oversight in the UK. The role focuses on ongoing oversight of AFMs, risk management, regulatory compliance and governance for OEICs, Unit Trusts and AIFs.

You will engage with offshore locations, conduct due diligence, and prepare MI for leadership. Applicants should have strong knowledge of depositary duties, investment risk, fund products, and FCA regulations, with proven risk/compliance experience and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Depositary duties and responsibilities.
• Understanding of investment risk.
• Knowledge of fund products and operating structures.
• FCA regulations for Funds and Depositary responsibilities.
• Risk management or compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing monitoring of regulatory and fund requirements for AFMs.
• Qualitative asset eligibility assessments (equities, bonds, derivatives).
• Liquidity monitoring, derivative exposure and fair value pricing analysis.
• Contributions to Depositary risk management framework developments.
• Lead for fund oversight reviews of launches and changes.
• Build and maintain relationships with offshore locations and AFMs.
• Produce reports and manage team workloads to deliver timely outputs.
