Job summary

Alter Domus in Jersey is seeking an entry-level accountant to support cash management, bookkeeping and reporting for client entities, in line with UK GAAP or IFRS. You will assist with preparing management accounts and financial statements and help respond to audit queries, working closely with tax advisors as needed.

Qualifications

• Educated to the equivalent of 5 GCSEs (Maths and English preferred).
• Studying towards ACCA or ACA with study costs supported.
• Fund or corporate services accounting experience is an asset.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team spirit, initiative, and strong client relationships are valued.
• High IT literacy with Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct effective cash management and regular cash reconciliations for client entities.
• Assist with bookkeeping and reporting for companies, funds and fund structures.
• Assist with preparation of management accounts and financial statements under UK GAAP or IFRS.
• Assist with audit queries.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on ongoing tax compliance tasks.
• Respond to client requests and tax planning considerations in collaboration with external advisors.
