Job summary

Alter Domus in Jersey is seeking a proactive accounting assistant to support a Senior Officer in delivering reliable accounting services to clients. The role covers cash management, reconciliations, and robust bookkeeping for funds and entities, with UK GAAP or IFRS reporting requirements.

You will work towards ACCA/ACA with study costs covered, and gain exposure to multiple fund structures while building client relationships and meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Educated to 5 GCSEs ( Maths and English preferred) or equivalent
• Willingness to study towards ACCA or ACA with study costs fully supported by Alter Domus
• Knowledge or experience in fund or corporate services accounting is a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver accounting services to clients under supervision.
• Manage cash effectively and conduct regular cash reconciliations.
• Assist with bookkeeping and reporting for companies, funds and fund structures.
• Prepare client entities’ management accounts and financial statements under UK GAAP or IFRS.
• Assist with audit queries.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on ongoing tax compliance.
• Respond to tax planning requests in collaboration with external advisors.
• Be part of a team of part or fully qualified accountants and meet deadlines.
