Are you an experienced ACCA/ACA qualified accounting professional seeking a new challenge in a progressive and supportive firm? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and multi-site firm of Chartered Accountants as a Business Services Manager in their Harrow office.

This newly created position has arisen due to continued business growth and offers the chance to work closely with the leadership team and make a real impact. You will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, delivering high-quality outsourced finance services and building strong advisory relationships. The position will be responsible for a portfolio of £600k, supervising a UK/offshore accounts team, reviewing offshore bookings, accounts, and tax preparation, as well as onboarding new clients on Zero/Iris/Sage, and managing project profitability and charge-out rates.

As a Business Services Manager, your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing a broad and varied client portfolio, ensuring delivery of financial reporting, compliance, and advisory services.
2. Reviewing year-end accounts in line with FRS105 and FRS102(1A).
3. Overseeing management accounts and tax computations and returns.
4. Reviewing VAT returns and bookkeeping work by junior staff for accuracy and compliance.
5. Providing client advice on tax-efficient remuneration planning, with support from senior management.
6. Mentoring and supporting junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
7. Assisting with the implementation and use of cloud accounting software for clients and staff.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with experience managing a practice portfolio of at least £450k.
• Be confident managing complex accounts and tax computations.
• Possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
