Job summary

Elekta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the software platform powering future Elekta products. You will design APIs, build containerised services, and contribute across the full stack in a high-performing scrum team.

The role combines cloud and on-premises work, with a focus on scalability and performance. Based at the Crawley HQ, you will work in a hybrid pattern (4 days in office, 1 day WFH) and mentor junior engineers while driving architectural improvements and delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience with .NET (C#) and modern frameworks.
Strong API and microservices design experience; database work (PostgreSQL).
Frontend skills using Angular/JavaScript; familiarity with CI/CD and cloud tools.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Azure DevOps; open-source awareness.

Responsibilities

Build and enhance cloud and on-premises services powering Elekta health solutions.
Design APIs and microservices focusing on scalability, compatibility, and performance.
Contribute to full-stack development from modern UIs to backend services and data solutions.
Improve CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.
Apply cross-functional skills in development and test automation to ensure quality.
